Together with the Viewfinder Center, I hosted an extravagant workshop dubbed "The Fashion Shoot Event". More of a on-the-job-training exercise rather than a workshop, this event hosted nine photographers, four models and a make up artist in order to give all participants a true sense of how a fashion shoot happens with a pre-production powwow, the actual production stage and a post-production workshop.
The theme of the Fashion Shoot Event was Viole(n)t Textures, and with this motto, I found some very lovely dresses for our models to wear and for our photographers to let their imagination run wild.
Although the weather did not want to play along and we were not able to shoot at our initial location, we were lucky that we were able to use nearby empty hall, very close to the Viewfinder. As it turned out, this location was actually perfect: we stayed dry but had plenty of opportunity for some interesting locations to shoot in.
As the principal photographer, it was quite an event to put together, but I truly enjoyed the experience and working with some of my favorite models.
The Viewfinder Center and I will be hosting another Fashion Shoot Event end of November 2015. If you are interested in participating, please contact us here.
